Have occidental business & management theories had their day? Calling on asiatic academia.

Western business theories and perspectives dominate the business and management academic arena, but why are asiatic perspectives and models not more prominent in 21st century business education curriculum? Are business schools based in the eastern hemisphere doing enough to either create research or model the successful aspects of business and management, that have seen economic growth outpace that of the western world over the past decade?

As the old world struggles to adapt as economic and political power shifts to the east, the academic world needs to engage and stimulate asiatic business and management philosophy, which could contribute to global knowledge and thus shape economic and social growth in the future.
